Poetry, Creative Fiction, and Non Fiction

This section highlights some of the creative writing done during my PhD. Creative writing is a means through which I am able to make sense of life. It has served as a coping mechanism to move through some of the trauma I have faced. It also became a part of my methodology as “dream writing.” The dream world is inexplicably linked to the creative. As Indigenous people, our minds are constantly in battle with colonial constructs. The dream world is an Ancestral place where we are able to tap into the power they hold for us. Finally, creative expression is also a way my academic work can reach a non-academic audience. The creative space ripples out carrying the knowledge bundles contained in the formal dissertation. All creative writing found within this site is copyrighted. Please ask permission before using.
